Events Job Description

Events Chair: Job Description


  • Reports to President or Vice President for all matters.

  • At the beginning of the school year the President will assign a list of events the Event Chair will be responsible for. 

  • Oversees all Events appointed by the president.

  • Responsible from start to finish for fall and spring family event.

  • Responsible for keeping up to date event reports. Then reported to the Secretary within two weeks of event.

  • Works with Fundraiser Chair on all PTO Sponsored events.

  • Works with Public Relations Chair to properly advertise all PTO sponsored Events.

  • Responsible for keeping up to date records on google business.

  • Expected to be at the majority of the events and help in any other means necessary.

  • Can appoint a committee as needed. Approved by the President.

  • If the chair is deemed to have a budget line item then the responsibility falls on the chair to have communication and transparency with the President and Vice President in spending said budget.

  • Expected to be at the majority of the events and help in any other means necessary.

  • Meet with President and or Vice President prior to the start of the new school year.  

  • Attends the New Board Summer Meeting held in July.

* With the large amount of students at our school small events can turn into large events. Each event can take up to 40 hours to plan and execute.
