                                             Public Relations Chair: Job Description


  • Reports to President or Vice President for all matters.
  • Responsible for keeping up to date event reports to be given to the Secretary within two weeks.

  • Responsible for keeping up to date records on google business.

  • Responsible for maintaining Website and all social media. 

  • Responsible for filtering any printed advertisements for events and fundraisers going out to the parents and to the public. Then sending to President for approval. 

  • Responsible to maintain bulletin boards schedule throughout the year. 

  • Communicates to suggest advertising to President on school property signs.

  • Works with school's webmaster. 

  • Meets monthly with the President to make a schedule of needed communication, advertisements and flyers.    

  • Works to communicate and educate all parents of school and PTO events and happenings.

  • Responsible for sending out Quarterly Newsletters.

  • Writes a blurb in the monthly Principal Newsletter.

  • Coordinates with all chairs to ensure all events and happenings are properly communicated.

  • Can appoint a committee as needed. Approved by the president.

  • If the chair is deemed to have a budget line item then the responsibility falls on the chair to have communication and transparency with the President and Vice President in spending said budget.

  • Expected to be at the majority of the events and help in any other means necessary.

  • Meet with President and or Vice President prior to the start of the new school year.  

  • Attends the New Board Summer Meeting held in July.
