Volunteer Coordinator Chair:

Job Description


  • Reports to President or Vice President for all matters.

  • Makes sure that all volunteers are school board approved.

  • Responsible for keeping up to date event reports to be given to the Secretary within two weeks.

  • Responsible for keeping up to date records on google business.

  • Responsible for sending out Monthly/2week/2day event reminders to volunteers. 

  • Responsible for signup sheets for spirit nights for Board and Staff and reports them to the Fundraiser Chair.

  • Works closely with Event Chair and Fundraiser Chair.

  • Responsible for getting printed and handing out volunteer signup sheets.

  • Responsible for keeping all emails up to date in Mail Chimp.

  • Helps plan and attends school Volunteer breakfast.

  • Writes thank you notes to volunteers.

  • Responsible for gathering names and volunteer hours worked for after hour PTO events. Then reporting the information to the school. 

  • Responsible for community outreach for volunteers. For example JROTC, Base, Church Groups, NHS, etc. 

  • Is the main point of contact to these groups. 

  • Can appoint a committee as needed. Approved by the president.

  • If the chair is deemed to have a budget line item then the responsibility falls on the chair to have communication and transparency with the President and Vice President in spending said budget.

  • Expected to be at the majority of the events and help in any other means necessary.

  • Meet with President and or Vice President prior to the start of the new school year.  

  • Attends the New Board Summer Meeting held in July.
